Adventures of Baron Munchausen, TheAdventures of Baron Munchausen, The (1988)

IMDB rating: 6.90

Plot: Baron Munchausen is a character of European myth that might be considered the predecessor of American tales of Pecos Bill or Paul Bunyan. The Baron’s stories are taken to be outrageous and fanciful lies. This is the origin of the name of the psychiatric diagnosis of “Munchausen’s Syndrome”, a particularly bizzare form of hypochondria.

would there be reason to be alarmed if your 7 year old daughter came home from a distant cousin's visit…?
if "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" was sent by the cousin’s girlfriend, for my child?

I honestly haven’t seen nor reviewed material out there on the web about the film, but I offer this watch it and based on your own daughter’s level of understanding of the content should be the beginning of your guide. If there are parts that your concerned about, watch it again with her, and ask what she thought about that part, you know converse with her about the film. Or don’t watch it with her, just have a conversation with her about what she likes about the movie, if she has already seen (I’m assuming she has), maybe she zones through out much of the boring stuff (what you might worry over) but there is one or two part(s) that just makes her giggle forever and she waits anxiously for them. More than likely when you take this approach you’ll be less worried about what she watches, especially as she gets older, cause you’ll know how her head is processing thoughts about movies she watches, especially if you do so somewhat regularly as her taste in movies change.

dont know the movie but anything higher than G rating would be inappropriate and should be addressed.

Not sure, but it IS only rated PG, which is appropriate for a 7 year old in my opinion.

Plus, it has Robin Williams, right? How bad could that be?
